Vetro Nero is a rare black-glass edition of the Paysage collection, launched during the exhibition Over and Over and Over and Over at Milan Design Week 2026.
Cast black glass is exceptionally uncommon in Murano glass production. The material is both costly and technically challenging, as once black glass has been melted, it becomes nearly impossible to fully clean the furnace for subsequent colours. For this reason, these pieces were produced during the final melting cycle of a furnace that was scheduled to be dismantled and replaced.
Black was therefore the last colour cast in that furnace before its demolition, giving rise to a small series of limited-edition pieces. The collection includes lamps from the Lina family and Paysage tiles, which can be used to create bespoke chandeliers or architectural wall surfaces.
