Batch starts from the most elemental form of a stool: a surface supported by four points, with a space between them.
In blown glass, this simple structure becomes a compact volume, its four supports reduced to recessed forms within the body of the piece. The geometry is softened by the natural movement of the glass, creating an irregular surface that catches and refracts light throughout the volume.
Colour becomes part of the material itself, shifting in depth through layers of transparency, reflection and refraction.
A stool that can also serve as a side table. Available in 10 colours.
A geometry shaped by its surroundings. Batch finds its place within the rigorous architecture of Monte Amiata by Aldo Rossi and Carlo Aymonino (1967–74), captured in the new campaign photographed by Delfino Sisto Legnani.
